Appleseed Welcomes New Board Members

Appleseed is proud to announce the election of truly distinguished leaders to its Board of Directors: Kevin Johnson, Courtney Dyer, and Russell Manns. Additionally, the Foundation is excited to share the election of Sharie Brown as Co-Chair Elect and Nicholas DeLuca as Treasurer and Secretary. These outstanding individuals bring a diverse range of expertise, a steadfast commitment to justice and equity, and a shared passion for creating meaningful change in communities across the United States and Mexico.

Kevin Johnson is a systems engineering and IT expert with over 28 years of experience providing technical expertise to clients in the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and the public sector. His expertise in systems security, enterprise architecture, and cloud computing adds a vital technical perspective to Appleseed’s mission to address systemic inequities.

Courtney Dyer, Managing Partner of O’Melveny’s Washington, DC office, specializes in antitrust law and has extensive experience guiding companies through complex government investigations. Courtney’s dedication to ensuring fairness in competitive markets and her commitment to community impact align seamlessly with Appleseed’s mission.

Russell Manns is a Managing Director at Ascendant Solution Group with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. His expertise in strategic planning, operational alignment, and process improvement makes him a valuable asset in advancing Appleseed’s efforts to improve access to essential services for vulnerable populations.

The Foundation also congratulates Sharie Brown on her election as Co-Chair Elect. Sharie’s leadership and dedication to advancing justice have been invaluable to Appleseed, and her new role will further enhance her impact on the organization’s mission. Additionally, Nicholas DeLuca has been elected as Treasurer and Secretary, bringing financial acumen and strategic insight to the board’s operations.
