Appleseed Foundation Donor Privacy Policy

As part of our fundraising efforts, Appleseed collects personal information from our donors and volunteers, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, employers, donation amounts and notes from donors. Additionally, Appleseed maintains a full giving history for all of our donors.

This information is utilized for the following purposes:

• – Thank donors and send receipts for donations.
• – Keep donors informed about Appleseed accomplishments, events, and initiatives.
• – Record keeping and analysis by Appleseed staff.
• – Reporting to relevant government agencies.

Appleseed does not sell or rent the names of its donors. It honors requests for anonymity and otherwise tries to value its donors by expressing our thanks for their generosity on our website, in event programs, and in other ways that might show our appreciation. Furthermore, access to financial information such as credit card and check data is limited to Appleseed staff who process that information.
