Engaging our vast pro bono network of attorneys and professionals, Appleseed attacks social injustice at its root. Our volunteers, applying their extensive talents and expertise to our many public interest projects, are integral to advancing Appleseed's mission, and we are grateful for their dedication and generosity.
During the 2009 fiscal year, Appleseed leveraged almost 19,000 hours of pro bono service at a value of more than $8 million! Without such commitment to building a better society, Appleseed's success would not be possible. We thank all our pro bono partners and especially our Leadership Council.
