PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT ASSESSMENT FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Appleseed now offers an innovative tool for measuring the effectiveness of parental involvement in elementary schools, a crucial factor in student success. "Parental Involvement Assessment for Elementary Schools" is available here.

Developed in collaboration with top experts in education policy and fireld tested in two very different communities, this assessment will help schools better understand the strengths and weaknesses of their efforts to engage parents in education. This task is indeed essential, as current research points to a definite correlation between parental involvement and student achievement.

As part of its continued commitment to this project, Appleseed also has established a feedback form for the assessment tool (see below); we invite you to share your comments about the survey and its usefulness.

For permission to use and reproduce the assessment tool, please contact Jeremy Cook at 202.347.7960 or jcook@appleseednetwork.org.
